I really really want to do this with a baby instead of a stuffed rabbit. Chuck says it's dangerous, cruel and unusual. Maybe unusual...but it's cute, not cruel. Can I get some back-up? Or is Chuck right?

A bit about Gracie

So Gracie and I are already clashing...mother and daughter. She is just so independent, opinionated, rebellious! But she loves her daddy...doesn't want to listen to Mommy. Bad girl! And then she is sweet. Bad girl! And this screeching thing she does when she wants something drives me crazy. She has started getting in trouble for it. And we will be out somewhere and someone tries to talk to her, she gives the meanest look back at them and pulls her arms away! It's kind of embarrassing...
She was so funny today though. We went to church and she carried her little purse there. After church was over her daddy set her down to put her coat on. When he was done she started walking around with her purse waving one hand and shaking people's hands with the other. It was just the cutest thing ever. Made me cry because it was so cute and funny! I hate it when I do that! I am such a sappy momma - when I'm not feuding with my child, that is.

My second maternity practice session

So I had my second maternity session Saturday. It was a lot of fun. I used mostly window light this time. Maybe I shouldn't have because my window doesn't get a whole lot of light since it is in the basement and there is a balcony right over it and a fence around. The couple just looked so nice in the light and I expected my camera to do things that it is not quite equipped for...Okay, I cant blame it all on the camera, I know I have a lot to learn. Nevertheless, they turned out well. The subject was a friend from work with his 6-month pregnant wife. She looks like Jennifer Lopez to me. I did find that 6 months is a little early for the pics though. I know that at 5 months I feared that people thought I was just fat instead of pregnant. She did look pregnant in most of the shots, but in some she didn't look pregnant at all. The thing with these pics is that if the person doesn't look pregnant then they might just look like naughty pictures - which isn't what I'm going for in case anyone is wondering. Here are some of my favorites...there are more on flickr and even more that turned out really well but I just wont post because there are just too many pervs out there on flickr!

Daddy got Gracie flowers today. She thought they were really pretty. Pretty enough to eat. She tasted them but we kept her from eating them. She carried them around for awhile, hugged against her chest. After a while she threw them on the kitchen floor and stomped on them. Now they are in a vase with the roses that Chuck got for me. He's a sweetheart!
